not sure if this is the right place for it but here goes, i was wondering if it is possible to install a tach on a car that doesnt come with one, i have a 95 elantra 5 spd but it didnt come with a tach, if it is possible how easy would it be, or should i not mess with it?

 

Yes, there are many different aftermarket Tach's that you can install. The installation for them varies with the brand/type you get.

 

They put out manual-transmission cars without tachometers???

That's just strange and wrong.

 

Yeah, unfortunatley they do put out manual trans cars with no tach. Maybe not so much anymore, but my '81 Manual Volvo had no tach...

hmm...then again you never had to worry about redlining it because it took so long to get up to the high end of a gear, you just gave up and shifted anyway. Slow-ass heavy tank of a car!
