Default Subwoofer in my Sonata

Now that it has been about six month since I purchased my new Sonata I have seriously come to the conclusion that there just isn't enough base. I need a bit more thump.

So as I was cruising around the web looking for ideas I came across this thread ...

2011 Sonata subwoofer install how to

While I like the way he has it fit in and the fact it can be removed fairly easy if he needs the space. He shows 2 amps 1 for the sub and 1 for the speakers Amplifier deck. What I envision for my setup is replacing the existing speakers, moving the tweeters to possibly the sail area in the doors, and adding 1 10" sub in the back Sub (I still have the 2 Kicker Comp VR's from my PT Cruiser when I traded it in). For my PT I had 1 amp strictly for the subs and the head unit powered the speakers just fine.

Will the factory head unit power newer speakers for me without the need of the second amp?

I believe this will most likely be the amp AudioControl LC2i I am going to get.

And yes after I read that install I will most likely get Best Buy or something install the wiring after I build the shells displayed lol

Basically what I want is a custome stereo installation that for the most part doesn't look custom. Well with the exception of the tweeters in the sail area of the door.

Get a real car audio place to do the wiring. Pick one that will let you look at their current work at the very least, and references would be nice. Don't do anything with Best Buy, or Jiffy Lube, EVER.

You may want amplification for the highs but if your old car didn't have it and that was okay, you may not need it. Add the bass and then decide if you need to upgrade the highs, unless you are currently very unhappy with the sound.

Do NOT just use gravity to hold your box down. That's a death waiting to happen. L brackets can be hidden under carpet with zero hassle and bolts are not so hard to undo it's worth risking killing yourself or a passenger with an unsecured box.

Car stereo stuff is generally universal. If you can find an install you really like, you can very likely copy it pretty well in your car.

Like the install described in that how to I want it to easily removable if I need the space. In my PT I left the box unsecured but that was a complete box, this appears to be a single sheet of particle board so yeah some sort of mounting may be required. So long as I can remove it easily. Yeah I found a stereo installer that specializes in custom installations, as long as they have little issues with me buying my own components.
