Ok i have these wired in

like that bridged at the amp using the 4ohm mono setup

At high levels.. the amp protection feature sets off... then will deactivate..

I checked all wiring.. and everything is fine.. i am guessing the amp just cant handle the load as advertised...

Does this amp just suck? or how do i rewire these puppies to get the most out of them with my amp?

NINJA EDIT!

Ok.. i just realized after looking at my own post that i have wired at

1 channel at 2ohms... which is too much for the amp

If i unbridge it and wire to each channel with each sub individually.. i will have
2 channels at 4ohms

Like so... which will only give me 300 rms...grrr...

dam i hate this ohm crap

So... how do i rewire this to get the most out of this setup...

you need to try 4 ohm stereo! yeah your right the amp you got sucks. it needs to be able to run 2 ohms mono. or you should have gotten dual 4 ohm subs. the thing is you need to buy the amp first and the buy subs to match it unless you know exactly how you want it to be. you should have gotten dual 4 ohm subs and a 1 ohm stable amp. sorry man. the only way to get the protection light to stay off is to run 4 ohms off of both channels. The amp won't bridge to 2 ohms mono.

nah they aren't to bad. The best thing i think you could do is get 2 600d's. put one on each sub. i'll look arroud for some prices when i get a chance tomorrow.

hmm

im hoping they are somewhat cheap.. im guessing i can get somewhere around 200 for the amp above.. they retail above 250 and its still pretty much new.

I prefer one amp though.. but if you recommend 2.. ill do it.

Would be nice to run these suckers at full potential.

ok someone just told me to get this amp

1200W 1 Channel High Current Amplifier Retail:$400.
1 x 600W RMS @ 4 Ohm Mono
1 x 1200W RMS @ 2 Ohm Mono
Dimensions (H x W x L): 2.7” x 12.4”x 11.81”

http://www.cardomain.com/shop/list.pl?bran...o+Amps&x=32&y=4

i'd get 2 750d's or 2 1500d's because i just can't think of a way to wire your subs to 1 ohm load to the the max out of the 1500d. so it's up to you.

ok.. im going to ask noob questions again..

one of the amps you recommend can go 1 x 600watts rms @ 1 ohm

The amp i was looking at can go 1 x 1200 watts rms @ 2 ohms

I can wire my subs up to 4 ohms each.. then bridge them at the amp making them 1 channel @ 2ohms

That would give 600rms to each sub, 1 amp, and i could save some $$$$

So question..

Whats the importance of going to 1 ohm? I thought the bottom line was always wattage? I understand the lower the ohm.. the higher the wattage. But with a more powerful amp.. you can produce as much power as another amp and a higher ohm rating...

Or is it that ma audio just really sux donkey ballz?tongue.gif:
