^^ No. Not allowed.

I actually got some 6x9s for the rear. 4 way, woofer speaker, tweeter speaker and 2 peizos. They handle 135W @4 ohms and have LEDs in them. I did not hook up the LEDs as they would conflict with my own dancing LED setup in my rear speakers which are activated by bass only.

These are them. http://www.partstore.com/Part/Dual/DUAL/SB....aspx?s=froogle

They were actually $50, but I bought some RCAs, heat shrink, crimp connectors, and other stereo stuff while I was there.

Based on the question, I assumed he was a novice. A drop-in is best for a novice.

I made a 'plate' with a thin piece of scrap MDF. I had 4" Alpine Type 'S' in the doors, but replaced them with 5.25s. Its pretty easy to do if you can manage to trace and cut a piece of wood. fing02.gif

If someone is interested in going with components, the Phoenix Gold RSd 65cs are AWESOME and only $90. The woofer has amazing mid-bass. Don't take my word for it, it has really good reviews on the caraudio.com forum. The Audiobahns 3-way i had in there before sounded like absolute crap in comparison.

It takes some work to mold the tweeters in the interior side-mirror panels, but it's well worth it. The crossover is easily installed inside the door as well.

My 6 1/2 Pioneers I just got came really close to stock, I just threw some small washers on with the bolts for good measure.
