stock shift knob
yes this is going to be a very dumb question but i didnt want to break anything so i didnt get too crazy with it. Yesterday i was taking apart my center console... i went to pull the shift knob off... it wouldnt budge. Finally after a few curses and a budweiser i got the thing to turn a little bit... but it wont come off... how in the hell do you get the stock shift knob to come off???

you are reffering to a manual tranny right?
LMAO, I certainly hope so.
Doode, if it's just spinning in place, you broke something.
Get a hacksaw and have at it now man, just get a new one to replace it.
Heres what to do,
1 order B&M SS cauz i got it and its great great GREAT
2 when u receive B&M, u install, plus the B&M knob although its plain and small, i kept it i like it a lot
3 if you want stock, saw off shifter just under knob
4 drill inside the knob where the rest of shifter is to get it out
5 everyone is happy, you got your B&M and your stock knob intact, now debat wich of the 2 you wanna keep smile.gif

well i have a B&M shifter and id say its awesome, really shorter throws you really feel it... as for height, you prolly already know that short-shifter doenst have anything to do with height but throws.
It really enhances driving experience and throws and shifting is a lot more firm, doesnt freakin wobble like cheap-ass stock.
You can also cut the B&M shifter to make it shorter (it is just slightly shorter in height than stock shifter), and make new dreads inside to screw knobs
Or I heard a lot of good stuff about the R-Side that its pretty much like B&M, but you can adjust the height on it as well without cutting.
R-Side seems like a good buy too, but I prefer the GOOD reputation of B&M... but thats just my opinion...
hopes this helps
