Default Speedo guage color

Looking to change the colors in my speedometer. Has anyone every done this before? I'm in the position right now where i can easily swap bulbs out. It looks like there are 4 bulb spots that light up the speedometer and such. I'm not sure if the previous owner did it or if they came this way stock, but each little bulb connector has 3 little blue leds soldered together. Is there a way i can just buy these little conencotrs in different colors? I'd rather not spend the time soldering new colored leds.

LEDs? Sounds like a prior owner. There are gauge overlays you can get, or you can solder new LEDs in place.

Don't use the drop-in halogen bulb replacement led's. LEDs are directional which means part of your display will be lit up more than another part. The right way to do it would be to wire LED's in place on the back of the cluster so the light is spread evenly across the whole gauge cluster.

Just my 2cents good luck

I just used overlays and buffed off the face coating to allow light through better

or you can get some transparent colored paper/material to place behind the gauges so they light up whatever color you prefer.

I think DTN was grinding down the LEDs so they would disperse.
