Hmm very interesting. I was thinking about this the other day when I realized my car was completely gutted. (was when I bought it) All I have in the back is the carpeted spare tire cover and was wondering if I could do this and put a 10" sub down in there with the amp and whatnot. I guess I can! Of course I don't think i need to raise the floor any for what I want. I am still unsure about the backseat area though??? I was thinking just spraying all the exposed metal with rubber coat?

 

That doesn't look too tough to pull off.
