Default Sound deadening

Hello all,

I want to try and reduce the amount of road noise coming into the car. I was going to use Dynamat extreme but a friend said it's not good for road noise and meant to stop vibration.

So can anyone share some advice on good value sound deadening products ?

Also is it worth adding deadening to the exterior wheel wells ?

I wanted to do the trunk and the floor pan.

Stop listening to that friend for any sort of advice. Noise is caused by vibration.

In addition to dynamat type products, there are sprays that can be applied inside doors.

I've had good success with spray-on rubberized undercoating in the wheelwells and on the bottom of the body, but it wears off after a few years.
