sirius radio
I'll have to take some pics of my sirius unit, http://www.sirius.com/servlet/ContentServe...d=1036015197511
I mounted it in the pocket below my radio with the tuner box hidden in the passenger rear fender. But, Alpine just came out with their direct link box for sirius, so once it hits the stores I can get rid of that unit and have everything controlled through my cdma 9813. Oh, and it doesn't matter where on the outside of your car you mount the antenna, it just needs a clear view of the sky. I took my wing off and ran the wire up alone with the brake wires and have the antenna in the middle of the trunk.

please tell me where you read that you must install the antenna in certin places. I lived in FL and put in directly in the center. My car is in VA and it's good to go still. Chevy installs them all on the front on their trucks. It's not a dss dish. As long as the antenna is exposed on the outside of the car your good to go. the best place is on the roof. there is a great spot for it actually. there is even a little rubber gromet in the back of the car. you'll see it once you open the hatch. if my memory serves me correct it's off to the right. then just wire it down through the side pannel. pull out the front seat and you can mount the reciever there if you have that type and you can also finish wireing the antenna from there if you have to run it all the way to the dash.

You can put the antenna inside? That'll make it alot easier to put it in my wife's truck.
You can try it. The Tib works nice because it's right there in the window. I did notice that large objects interfere with signal easier than when it's mounted outside, meaning that if I go under a bridge or a large area of trees, I drop signal quicker than if it was on the outside.
Sound quality is the same. The signal is digital, either you get it or you don't. Weak signal does not degrade the sound quality, just your reception. A weeker signal is more prone to dropping in and out.
