Trying to remove shift Knob,..I have both phillips screws out,cover off,inside small screw out,when pulling up the shift button comes out,chrome shaft and knob seem to be coming out as one?,feels like something caught,dont want to pull up too much and break something.,where are the wires(OD I think?) connect at underneath to unhook them (flashlight in the dark).. thanks

split the knob in half with a flat head screw driver.

did you pull out the plastic on the od button. well after u do that. press the button so its deeper inside.
