I think that is a really good spot. Is it tough to reach them with the door closed though?
What's with all the thread though Kit??? Way too many for the same darn things.

i have to say, everyone hates on Kit...... (guilty here)
but that's a persistant cat. keeps comin' back after all the shish, and finally has something good to put in. 8^)
i agree with Mad here. if that panel were raised just a little, it'd be perfect! nice work. tongue.gif

I like the location you picked there Kit. I think that would work out good.
The only thing that I would change... Replace the lights with other toggles. You could have 5 toggles down there and put the indicator lights on the dash somewhere (you cant see the indicators between the door and the seat). I am a big fan of visually knowing what is on and what is not, even if its something stupid like rice lights.
Good job Kit.
As for the tach light questions... you can do Anything with electronics. Tap off the wires going to the tach stepper motor. It will range in voltage (I am assuming 0-12v). With Resistors (and transistors), you can set it up so that at a certain predetermined point (or with a potentiometer you could adjust the points) have the different lights go on and off (for a good reference, look up the DIY LED bar A/F meter. It would work on the same principal)

Yes, I know this is a dead thread, but posting here is better than starting a new thread. Kit-fox's pics are no longer here, but does anyone know where to get a box/switch box that will fit in this spot? Kit-fox came up with a great place to put switches, and I'd like to do the same as opposed to finding a place on the dash or hiding them elsewhere.
