i was just wondering if anyone has installed racing seats on their 95 elantras for those of you that have 95s, and if i can just bolt them right on to the brackets that are on my original seats.....if no one knows then i guess i'll just have to wait til xmas cause thats when i get em...wooo hooo

 

I can pretty much guarantee you that the new seats will NOT fit the stock brackets. The stock brackets are PART of the stock seats. You really cannot reuse them.

damn it oh well, they're different then the 95 accents then right, cause i know those can bolt right up to the seats.

 

Sorry, I just re-read your post, and realized you mentioned 95 elantra. I'm not sure about that vintage.

I do know that Yamaneko's 2000 Elantra and my 1999 tibby, the brackets are part of the seat and cannot be used/re-used.

 

Random are you having to fabricate custom brackets for your seats or are the SR seats built to be direct replacements?

 

The seats come with brackets to fit the tiburon. I'm HOPING they fit the elantra or that there are backets available for the elantra as well.

Shark Racing is sending me the brackets, so I should have install instructions and such up after the new year. At the same time, I'm going to compare them to the Elantra Seat brackets (Yamanko's) and any other Hyundai's I can get my hands on.

 

damn, yeah i tried putting them on and they didnt fit, the brackets are mounted to the sides on the stock seats and the seats i got need to be mounted from the bottom, oh well time to get brackets

 

random i offer bradley the use of my car for r&d, but havent really got a reply from him, i know he really busy, but there is so much i want to do my car, but either it dont fit or they dont make it, so in short if you need a car here it is

If you are available on the 28th, I'll be in fresno then, and I can peek at your car.

The seat rails will not be to me by then, but we can see if my seat will bolt in to an elantra, then we will know if we need new brackets made.
