So Im going to be picking up a center bar for the interior of the car, like this one:

Would it be safe enough to attach the back of a 4 point seat harness to that? huh.gif confused1.gif

i'm gonna take a stab at it and say no.... the straps are supposed to go down at a 45 degree angle (if i'm not mistaken)
also, i'm sure in an emergency situations, the centerbar wouldn't hold very well.

umm no - i wouldnt trust it at all....
the 4 point needs to be attached low as possible on the sides (like the original lower mounting point for the seatbelt on one side, and a most likely a custom mount in the middle)
and at around 45 degrees at the back to be most effective - so in the accents that would be almost right in the 'crack' of the rear seats, where the bottom and upright meet - if you no what i mean smile.gif

since they're easy to make, they're trying to sell it for almost all hyundais..they don't help the vehicle much in terms of reinforcement, it's just more weight
unless that aluminum bar was slightly thicker, i wouldn't trust my life with it...hmph!! since when did they start selling stuff for the lc? biased kdm sites!!ugh!

Why not get a 3 point harness that attatches to the rear baby harness hooks tongue.gif I use a CAMS approvesd3 point 2.5 inch racing harness for my car.. the officials like it alot more than others.. boltt everything... because if you begin welding you need a certificate of some kind. that is If you are planning on racing :s..
