Since the company went out of business 4 years ago has anyone been able to find any extra short shifters for us? Or is anyone letting go of this amazing product any time soon lol

not the ark shifter, but 100% of the reviews i've heard throughout my time on this forum are great. and i have an rside shifter, it's ok but i've driven an acura TL stick and that shifter was nicer, and my dad's VW/Seat transmission and shifter are superb and make mine and all the rest of the Hyundais including the new tiburons look flimsy.
i'd suggest if you're going for one, go for the best. it's like $180 but if anyone who has one can be polite enough to post here and support it it would help. satelite.gif
don't get me wrong, the rside is good, but sometimes i think about switching back to stock because i was just expecting so much more.

Zman did a lot of testing of 3 different short shifters. You can read about it here:

The ark's are 180..kinda high for me but alot of people say its worth it.

i have an rside, you can test it if you'd like!
compared to stock it always looks like it's in 3rd gear.
i've thought about swapping it out for an ark-... but then again, what's the point in spending the extra money?

ive been in cars with megan racing, ark, and i have the rside advanced.. besides the rside leaning forward a bit more than the others, i really like it..
i was really not overly impressed with the ark OR the megan racing..
the BIGGEST thing you can do to fix the huge amount of slop all the shifters have is replace shifter bushings..
that makes a night and day difference to even the stock shifter.
the nice thing about the rside is the adjustability. even though most people keep it as low as possible, some leave it higher.
the reason we dont have any really good shifters out there is because the design sucks.. the newer elantras ball design is MUCH better. the srt4 shifter is the same ball design as elantras and its smoother/tighter than any of our short shifters..
the best bet for people wanting smoother/tighter shifts, would be to get elantra shifter base and short shifter and swap it into the tib.
