ok so i am thinking of getting a new amp.... i have two in mind... the new Rockford Fosgate 3001 D-class amp, or the Alpine v12xd 300 D class... the Rockford is rated at 350 rms (i think) ill check that again... and the Alpine is rated at 300 rms...

both are the same damn price so which one do i choose?

*edited by Voiddweller to leave God out of amp pricing. wink.gif

That's a tuff decesion. They're both great amps.I used to use Fosgate all the time and never had a complaint or problem.Since I bought the Tib,I deceided to go with different stuff. So now I'm using Alpine for my deck and 2 amps.I've been using the Alpine stuff for close to 2 years and have 0 complaints.

You will probably have to weigh all the features/spec's.Power wise, there's no difference between 300RMS or 350RMS.So you'll have to look at things like xovers, bass boost, remote level control, etc.

Default it's been quiet lately...

The upper end Alpine's have like a brushed aluminium cover for the controls and a cover for the wiring. If you are mostly looking for looks, then I guess you know what you want.

tuff choice dude, I am going with all Rockford. (matches my colour theme)
but the high end Alpine stuff is awesome.
are you going to go with one of those 2 names for your whole system? or just the amp?

for right now i am replacing my old RF 200m... then i plan on getting rid of the two Xplods (excellent subs) or i may not... if i got rid of them i would get the same brand subs as the amp... so if i got the RF i would get the new Punch 12s which are friggin sick

Well, I like the Alpine, cause I have the Front end Alpine.. Alpine Deck.. blah blah.. So I am thinking of keeping it all alpine.. But just looking at the Power T8002.. i like the shape of it.. and yea Punch P6002 is sweet.. I think that the "Type RF" looks a lil Cheesy.. and honestly I have had my fill with Cheese Wiz and Civics.. ( as we know, they go hand in hand)..

Honestly dude, Try out both.. Hook your sub(s) up to each, and see which give you the best performance.
