Well after a family reunion trip I have decided that I'm going to take out my back seat. Why? you ask... Because my poor baby was loaded down with 4 people and tons of luggage, simply because mine was the only car that could hold 4 people... Not a good enough reason? well how about bottoming out at every bridge and big bump on the 4 hour drive, all on the new suspension I had just put on 02.gif.
So what I'm wondering is:
What's the best way to take it out?
What will I need material wise.
What will look better in you're opinion.
Also I was planning on putting a small system in. Nothing special just maybe a 10" sub and a amp (I don't want anything heavy).
Thanks.

Not sure what to do about the back seat. But component wise, I would suggest the new Alpine Type R's. If you are looking for light weight, the older MTX amps where compact and very powerful. Also the Alpine V12's are powerful and compact. You way also want to check out www.elementaldesigns.com. Some of the best amps on the market can be had right here.
Good luck with your two seater conversion! fing02.gif

Backseat is easy, undo the top portion, pull back the carpet, look. There are like 3 bolts.
Take em out.
Yank up on the front of the seat bottom, it pops out, look around, there are like 2 or 3 bolts there too I think.
Tada.
Done.

I have taken them out and in 3 to 4 times now takes about 5 to 10 mins, really easy remember where u put the blots though, u could just leave it with no backseats and not worry about it

I want something simple and clean smile.gif.
I won't have money for a system for a little while, do to some other mods I want to get done first.

I don't see a reason for bottoming out unless you REALLY had a LOT of weight back there..
Also, rather than taking your back seat out (it IS convenient SOMETIMES to have it), learn to just say No LOL. Anyone who really wants to sit in the back seat of a tib is f'ing nuts anyway. I bet my 5 year old sister would complain that there's not enough room!
But if you're really stuck on the idea...
It's easy to take them out, there's only 4 bolts total (12mm?), and two clips that you just have to pull the seat out of. 10 minute job.

lol it will when it's lowered 2 inches all the way around, and it was on Houston/Dallas roads. But yeah I am set on taking it out (100%).
O and I did say no, but I wasn't asked to take mine I was told mad.gif.

The seats are a really simple fix. Then I guess, which is what I was tinkering with, is gettting some material of a similar weight to the stuff that goes around the tire well and stapling some matching carpet on. Never got around to it tho.
