how hard is it to install a remote starter? i bought a cheap one on ebay for $20 called ultrastart. it has alot of features but im not too sure how to put it in. has anyone ever put one in their cars themselves?

You have to be careful because if you cut the wrong wires you can screw up your ignition pretty bad. Did the kit you bought come with a wiring diagram? if you have never done it before i would suggest taking it to a shop and pay them. It should only cost around 70 or 80 bucks to have it done.

It should have come with a diagram of what color wires need to get tied to what, then you just need to look up your car's wiring system and match.

That sounds simple, but in practice it can be tricky. I did mine with some help from a friend and Im glad I had his experience on my side. Additionally, $20 sounds like a FIRE to me, but hopefully not.
