Default Remote start on a manual... Questions...

I always wondered this, I've been looking into getting a different alarm system and the one I'm looking at has remote start.

I know you can hook it up for remote start on a manual car, but is it really smart to do?

As long as the unit has a way to properly set up on a manual you're fine.

It should require you to leave the car running in neutral with the parking brake on and get out and lock the doors and shut down the engine via the remote, then disallow the remote start if the doors have been unlocked since the alarm was set.
