I bought my 2000 plate RD2 Hyundai Tiburon with a remote start kit already fitted.
And I recently lost my only key for the car.
My question is:
For a remote start kit will the immobiliser already have had to have been bypassed?
And therefore do I just need to get a new key cut from the dealer OR will I need it coded?
I got told by Hyundai that they replaced a key for a Hyundai like mine recently and it blew the ECU costing £800 ($1300) to fix.

Unless they do things differently in Scotland, you just need a straight metal key. If you find a shop that tells you they blow up computers by replacing keys, go somewhere else.
