Default Quick question about remote wires

Is it ok to run the remote wire down the same side as the amps power cable, or should it be ran down the opposite side with the RCA's?

Some RCA's include a "3rd" wire thats meant to be your remote wire. Very convenient and doesnt interfere with the quality of the sound. You can run it with either the RCA's or the power. Which ever is easiest.

Now, do not run your RCA wires along side your power cable. Thats when you will run into alternator whine and interference in your sound system.

Yeah. Remote, essentially, is power (in an on/off sense), so it's really only used when the stereo is turned on and off. Doesn't really matter which side you run it on.

Ive always ran the remote turn on lead with the RCA on the opposite side of the car from the main power cable, and I try to keep them seperated as much as possible. Ive seen people run the remote lead with the power cable and have there amp stay on all the time due to induction from the main power cable (very rare but if the remotes wrapped around the main cable it can happen). Also the remote lead is very low amperage so it shouldnt interfere with the sound quality if its ran along side the RCA.
