is there a splitter or something that you can use so that a receiver can have 2 sub outputs if the receiver has only 1?

Yes, but I believe it would be half power... (Power split 2 ways, 1/2 each, simple math). I'd recommend connecting it to an amp, then use more outputs from the amp instead of trying to get too many from the receiver itself.

Don't worry about power. that's the intent of amplifier gain controls. Just find a RCA "Y". It will work just fine.

just make sure you have a spliter for your power wire. that will give your other amp juice and make sure you ground it seperatly.
