Default Question about SeatBelt Harnesses

Are those 4/5/6 points seat belt harnesses dot legal?

Like if you get into an accident or you get pulled over for speeding. Does having one on count as a seatbelt. or can you sitll get written up for not having it?

I'm pretty sure their legal. They're actually better than seatbelts but and the reason they probably dont have them in all cars is the cost.

Dunno about over there, but in AU they are legal,
providing they are not the only form of restraint.

To remain road legal, you must use your retractable
seatbelt at the same time.

Sounds kinda ****y, but its to do with requiring
some sort of retractable/lockable seatbelt ALWAYS.

aww, who'd whinge about d icky as a word!

according to the sparco seatbelts manual, they are internationally and legally approve for road use. it complies with the Geneva safety requirement of some sort. I would assume that they are legal since they are better than that of the stock belts. I used the stock mounting locations for my install. I will take pics tomorrow.

Arn, cant wait to see those pics.

Also question....

I thought they were illegal unless you had a roll cage, being if you flipped your car, the 4/5 point harness wont allow you to move away from the crushing roof, a seat belt will.
