For those of you who have racing seats or have installed them before on a tib, what did you guys do in terms of mounting brackets to fit the tib? I know seats come with universal sliders but just wanted to know the easiest way to make em fit.

thanks

Vic

It's a PITA to install aftermarket seats. You will have to custom fabricate brackets.

maybe he'll just chime in here.

i have corbeau cr-1 seats and they made me a set of brackets/sliders for my car. mine were the first set that they made for the tiburon too! how cool is that? but anyway, i believe that they sell them now because they made a mold out of mine so if you are looking into corbeau seats, they make them for the tiburon specifically. you just have to mount the bracket and slider together and then mount to the seat and they fit exactly to the stock holes in the car. very easy install! i highly recommend corbeau seats, and that's not just because they sponsor me! they are truly the best racing seat that i've sat in. i love them!!

In my old Tib I had cheapy eBay racing seats and my dad and I made up some brackets to get them to fit in with the stock holes.

That's good to know Khara, thanks. I also like the Corbeau seats, just have to find one that fits my budget and my taste. LOL

Nightshark - Go with Corbeau seats, if not, looks like it might be a pita. Try to contact Blacktibs to see if he can get you a little DIY on making your own. dunno.gif
