Hey bro,
Iv been a car stereo installer for some time now , and preferably for the power ratings that you are looking at are way off the true power ratings or should i say (stable) power ratings.
If i was you, i would be looking into maybe a rockford bd1000 for all out raw power, or if u dont want to go too pricey but want good stable power and durability i would recommend something like "planet audio" or "MA audio".
To tell you the truth , from my experiences with all, "Planet audio" makes dame near bulletproof amps (speakers arent all that great) .
And "MA Audio" makes some everlasting kickass subs and there amps get pretty insane also.
"My next door neighbor has a single-cab silverado with 3 rockford hx2 10's hooked up to a rockford BD1000 at 2.67ohm and it beats hard as hell but hes ate through 2 subs and 1 amp in about 2yrs time .
I on the other hand have a P1250d 1250W(880W true) planet audio amp hooked up to 2 MA audio 15's(1000W rated) at 1 ohm , and have had it hooked up for over 4 yrs and have never had a fuse blow ,amp overheat, sub stop working, voice coil rattle, nada. just continous abuse and it loves it !
Im in no means saying my setup is superior to any others , just giving you a good example that, spending 3-5k on a system to just all out pound is not always the best idea when u can sound just as good with a proper setup "for your vehicle in specifc", and only spend a portion of what the other guy did and stll be beatin along when his sheets broke smile.gif
sorry if this is long , just my 2cents.
