Putting in a sub.
Ok.. this is still into the future for me.. I use the hatch of my Tib a LOT, so I do not want to loose any room.. or at least as little as possible. I also prefer to listen to Jazz so I like my Bass tight. The new GK tibs with the optional radio have a nice little sub tucked into the passenger side rear fender, into that alcove behind the rear wheel well.. bringing the opening flush (or close to it) with the line of the hatch.
How hard do you think it would be to duplicate this, could I do it with a sheet of marine plywood formed to fit that alcove perfectly or would I need to make a real enclosure behind it for the sub? If I did have to enclose it, how bit an enclosure for a nice little 8 inch?

u need to find the recommended enclosure size for the sub. i recomend building an enclosure outta fiberglass. there r tons of diys on it. here's a good thread on hp.com with a bunch of sites for it. http://www.hyundaiperformance.com/forums/t...pic.php?t=34377

Thanks! See this is the info I am looking for. Audio is not my thing, I am a video editor by training. And like I said.. I am not looking for a booming system.. just a nice tight system to really showcase my jazz.

of your not into having your system cracnked so your family across the country can hear you than
for sure
a nice 8" or 10" will fit nicely in the corners of the trunk
another option u have is to remove the spare tire and use that area but i am not really to fond of that idea
