Default Putting floormats in washer

Has anybody done this yet? Putting floor mats in the washer and dryer? If so what will be the outcome? Will it ruin the mats?

I'd be more worried about ruining the washer and dryer... but then again I used to wash my sneakers in those when I was in High School. Got into big trouble for that everytime.

I usually wash my floor mats outside with the garden hose, some liquid soap and a brush. Then just hang them up somewhere to dry.

I think there would be more chance of weird results by using a washer/dryer.. dryer would probably not be a good idea because of the rubber in the mats (might not be too hot but might be)

It is pretty easy to wash them like Ken mentioned and you can also get them cleaner this way (I'd assume)

I've put mine in the washer. Just put them in with the good side facing out. Would not use a dryer. Just let them air dry.
