problem with shitknob.....?

Default problem with shitknob.....?

okay this is going to sound stupid...but when i put my old headunit back in and then put the dash back together...tightened the shifknob down...when i came out hte next day i felt two little bumbs on the side of my shiftknob....and i cant twist it off to see whats up with it??? anybody have any idea what the hell i did to my shiftknob??? it feels like it has two boobs on the sides of it!!! *LOL* anybody?

The threadded base is plastic. You cracked it.

The "boob" on each side that you feel is each side of a crack.

if it is "on" solid, I'd leave it. Any attempt at removing it would probably cause it to not be threadded in again.

okay...so how do i remove it??? take a pair of vice grips and try and take it off that way??? i planned on getting a new knob anyway.

Wait till you get the new knob, then try to remove it. I suggest trying it by hand first, if that fails, then go with a large set of plier/vice grips.
