Power locks
I know most 1997 RD's didn't come with power locks, but anyone have any power lock switches for the door pannels or know a website where I can get them from.
Also if someone has them installed please posts some pics of your set up..

Every tib I've seen has had power locks.....I've heard of people not getting power mirrors, but never not having power locks......
All the power locks are is that when you unlock the drivers side it also unlocks the passenger side. To get a remote entry system installed they usually need to install a second actuator on the drives side. The stock setup only has one on the passenger side.

all the rd2's do as far I know. they are just power switches though. drivers side controls both, while passenger is passenger only.
edit: UltraTibby, is a actuator the same thing as a switch? cause obvously the passenger side has the motor to lock/unlock, I had wondered before what would have to be done for remote controlled locks. laugh.gif

Because when you move the unlock/lock button on the driver side it triggers the actuator on the passenger side which then unlocks/locks the passenger door. It is so the actuator does not need to move something all the way around the car. It only has to move something a foot or 2.
