Power inverter question
#1
I searched and found a couple posts about inverters/PS2's but not the answers I was hoping for.
I have a 400 watt power inverter to use with my PS2 and regular 13 inch color tv. The tv uses like 55 watts and the PS2 uses about 125 or 175. Anyway, in no way do they add up to 400 watts. I used the cigarette lighter adapter and the stupid LED light is red. It's only red when something is wrong. I used a three prong extension cord to plug in the tv and PS2 together. Do you guys know of anything that could be wrong? Should I wire the power inverter straight to the battery? Damn, sorry for the long post.

I'd hard wire the inverter. That's a decent amount of power to pull thru the 12v recepticle. If you still get a fault light, disconnect one of the outputs and see if it goes away. When you do that,if it returns to normal, then either the device you removed has a problem or the inverter isn't big enough.
