If you got time and there's a dealer near you, take it to them and let them worry about it. No sense in doing it yourself if it's someone elses job.

Does the popping occur when you do something, or when something happens in the car?

AC cycling? Auto Tranny shifting? Turn signals blinking?

Sounds like a bad ground to the radio, or a poorly install amplifier.

Like Random said it sounds to be a bad ground this is the sound mostly heard when their is one but it happens when another power source is used at the same time usually, it could be a wire that has been chafed somewhere or maybe we are interperting the sound you are stating to what we think the sound is and the speaker could be shot as well then the noise would happen all the time mostly at higher volume and would explain the isolation to the one speaker. As long as you haven't done anything to it take it to your dealer let them worry about it unless you have to.
