hey, I just bought a 3 pillar pod with 3 gauges the other day and im trying to install them...I am just wondering if any body has any guages or has ever done an install before that can give me some tips and pointers about how to do it...It didnt come with any instructions on how to do it...so if anybody can help me that would be great.

Did you buy the pillar pod used or did you find it at a vendor somewhere? I have looked several places for a 3 pillar pod for our cars but haven't come up with anything

If you are wanting to know if anyone on this site has ever installed a 3 gauge pod pillar replacement, and hooked up the gauges, and this site has been around for almost 4 years, wouldn't the best thing be to SEARCH?

 

There's no aftermarket 3 pod pillar for RDs except the GB ones from a few years ago.

you can just take the OEM pillar out and then screw the pillar pod on top of it or you can mold into the OEM pillar. cool.gif

did you buy the 3 pillar pod for our car? the FG one.. or just some crappy ebay one that you got scammed into buying cuz it said it was for our cars.. i have installed both the FG one with gauges on my car, and a universal one with gauges on mwoods car..

what do you need to know?

you should probably do a search on it.. but everything with install is pretty straight forward. if you have the ebay pillar thing, heres the steps:

1. slap yourself for buying the piece or crap that wont fit worht a damn.
2. look at how bad it fits up to the stock pillar.
3. figure out where you wanna put the POS on your pillar
4. drill holes where you want to mount it
5. put some screws in and mount it.

for the gauges..

1. wire the red wire to a 12v source
2. wire the black wire to a ground
3. wire the sensor wire to the sensor..

theres your instructions.

my 2 pillar pod fits perfect. but its not sold for the tib. it's a autometer pod, just not sure what it was originally for. i was just going through box's of pod's at work seeing what fit, and this one fit perfect, and was in a older kinda messed up box. said it was for a s-10 though.





best part is i didnt spend a cent on it smile.gif

 

yea, i got a universal triple on ebay and it fit like a glove

 

Did u do any modifications on it like cutting and heating? I bought a universal one and fits like crap I did everything I can it was a wast of money. I'm looking for the one you have but I want it to be 3 not 2
