Hey. Does anyone have pics of where they ran their subwoofer power cable through their firewall? I just want to get an idea of where to drill the hole. Thanks.

Assuming that RD1's are the same, and I believe they are, do not run it through the firewall. If you remove the drivers side mud guard and front fender you will see a plastic grommet that gives access from inside the fender to the drivers side footwell. You can run the power cable from the batter, into the fender area, and through that grommet, and then back under the carpet.

There was nothing going through that grommet in my car. I think it is only used if you have a sunroof. My 4 AWG wire fit perfectly through it. You don't need to take off the fender BTW, just the inner lining.

i think RD2s only use those holes for sunroof leakage run-off. there is a hole by all four cabin corners.

I just replaced my hood latch cable 2 weeks ago, It goes threw the grommet on a RD1, Just drill a hole in your firewall on the drivers side, where you think you can hit the hole, and then push it, then pop off your running boards and you run it in there with the other wires back to your subs then clip the plastic boards back on. Ill try and get you some pictures when I get home.
