Ok, WTF!!! Urgent!
I hooked up all my speaker wires, fuse, ground, and battery... well, turned on my radio for the final... and guess what I heard.. yeup.. dead silence... for some odd f***ed up reason my speakers dont work when I hook the speaker wire to them, why?! It works it everyone elses car? I freggin took the speakers out, wire the negative to negative and positive to positive... it doesnt FN WORK!!!!

The factory speakers will not work... I unhooked the system, but left the wires attatched to the stock speakers to see if it as the system... nope... so I dug back to get my speakers... and took off the wires I had attatched to them... holy sh*t it works when there are no wires attatched to my stock speakers.... GRRRR
I even unhooked the subs from the wires, but left the wires attatched to my 6x9s, and they still wont work.... but remove the wires completely, and they do... this is seriously pissing me off.
And no.... the wires are not crossed

Yikes...
Well, where to start...
Is your head unit playing? Can you verify that?
You have external amps, right? Can you see if they're getting signal? Try hooking up the RCA out from a home CD player to the amp input (And plug your ears!)
If you get sound from that, it's the head unit to the amp. If you don't, then it's probably the amp. Is the remote turn-on lead hot? ie: is the amp turned on?
You need to have some more specific information before I can help.

Okay, you know the amp works... But is it working now? And if not, is it because you haven't got signal to them, or is it because the amps aren't working now.
There are several reasons why the amp might not work, if the speaker leads are shorted (ie, your 6X9s are toast) woud do it. Most amps will refuse to turn on into a dead short. Or they'll blow a fuse REAL fast.
If you PUT a signal to the amp input, ie from a portable or home CD player, does it work?
Do you know that your head unit isn't set to "0" volume? Are you using deck power anywhere?

What if you hook the amp to the stock speakers? Does it work then? If not...the AMP is the problem. Disconnect the amp and see if the alpines work connected to the stock wiring...if so...amp is the problem.
In the Future, DO NOT post the SAME POST in multiple forums, or references in other forums.
The original post was getting replies...there was no need for the second post in the HELP forum. eek.gif

Heh.
Since I don't look in all the forums, I just saw it here. :-)
Random: Hard to de-bug an install my e-mail, isn't it?
I've done this before... Frustrating. In a bit I'm going to give up. After a point people should know how to think for themselves, or they shouldn't do things themselves.

Well, since there hasn't been a new post appearing here for a while, I'll assume that the problem is either solved, or there is enough information to solve the problem.
The big thing here is logical troubleshooting. Eliminate components until you know what the problem is, then do something about that. It's either wiring or faulty equiupment, the trick is to go through step by step until you've identified the problem, and can isolate it. Once you can do that, then the solution should be obvious.
Good luck!
