Oil Cap Issue
Hello!
Mister upgrade still has problems 02.gif
I got this oil cap to replace original. It will go good with my engine dress-up.
However, it came only with the sticker, a screw and allen key. Our oil caps aren't screw on. From what i see, i would require to take piece form factory oil cap, and screw it on the new one with the supplied screw.
however, when i try to take piece out, there is a safety thing on the end of the screw so the bolt dont fall into the engine. should i just paint the factory oil cap or how would i take this piece out? or where can i buy one? and if i ever install that new oil cap, will it be hazardous without that safety screw thing...
thanks

Sorry to say it mang, but it looks like you already waisted 40 bucks.
We use the 1/4 turn style caps, unless you have a Beta 2 valve cover on there, a screw in cap isn't gonna work.
I've been told that caps for Mitsu engines will fit.

nono i must have explained myself wrong, it is not a screw on cap, its just the top part, its got a screw inside a plastic bag with a allen key. it requires that piece :
- ~~~~~~~~/---~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~/-------/~~~-------~~~~~
~~~~~~|~~~~~~O~~~~~~|~~~~~
~~~~~~-------~~~/-------/~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~---/~~~~~~[/list]this part is located under the original cap with a screw that is unremovable to my knowledge. i would require to screw this part to the new oil cap.
that is the issue...
well you are in luck, i've got my stock one right here next to me,
1st it looks like there is a nut on it, try undoing that.
2nd the screw you are talking about actually looks like an allen wrench hole (not sure about that its got oil all over it, but it could be)
3rd, if neither of the top 2 work, try removing the ring seal and see if there is anything under it, maybe a couple more small allen screws, there isn't much room for anything else.
Like i said earlier though, you should have just gotten the RSide one.
