A couple weeks ago i purchased one 8" subwoofer box from a member on are boards
now i want to get a Rockford Fosgate P1S48 (Punch Stage 1 8" 4-ohm subwoofer)...
it says that it has "power range: 50-150 watts RMS (300 watts peak power),"
I dont know what type of amp to get or do i even need a cap...
I do have a Sony Xpod radio and it comes with the output for the sub...
Also I now that I am going to get the question 8" sub why so small...here is the answer...
this is my daily driver, plus i live in military housing, and i have a 18 month old son, he is always in the car...i just want a little more...
Plus I want a better Ipod adaptor for the radio then my FM transmittor...

250w Wal-Mart Sony Xplode should work fine. I was powering a 10" Rockford with one for a bit. Not a true 250w, but it was bumping just fine. Less than 100$

x2 on that the sony amps at walmart will power it just fine, I'm about 98% sure the 250w sony wouldn't blow it because it's probably only putting ~75-100w RMS to it, if that.
