Newbie ?'s On How To Replace Shifter Boot

I have Red's replacement kit, but since my 2001 Tib did not come with a boot I don't have an example to follow.

This is the center console piece:



And this is the plastic ring that goes on the center console:




I have no other clips, screws, or anything else. Can someone give me some tips on how to install the boot. Some pics would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

the four posts that have holes in the middle of them, put a screw in each of those. remove the post, tabs, whatever you want to call them. make four holes in the boot to match the stems sticking up you are going to put the screws in.

slide your boot through the ring and place one hole for each post, then work the whole assembly into the shifter surround.

once you have it down and looking nice, you have four holes on the underside of the shifter surround, place screws through and tighten down, wallah!
