Some of you may have noticed this in the "my garage" section where I have all my mods listed (I have too many)

But I finally got done installing it. I had a single DIN console sitting around just for such an addition and spent the last several days making the opening for the storage cubby larger. I actually used my dremil to cut the lower lip off of the opening, then after making the opening bigger.. epoxied it into place to make a nice finished lip (Still required finishing) before I was able to get the drawer into place.

You can find it on ebay for about $30 for any mazda vehicle.. it seems a little cheap when you first get it (no tracks for the drawer, it just pulls open) but once it is in, it looks pretty good. I might paint it to match the anodized bronze of my dash, but for now I left it black (also availible in silver and "wood") and left the ashtray cover and the cup holder from the other console black to match and contrast...

as from the ebay auction

closed...I need a black radio instead of that ancient sony

Open, with my ID and name tag from the Borgata in it..

it wasn't hard work Hob.. but it was tedious. It's still not perfect and in a few months I will take it out so I can get it looking right and to add my new polished aluminum cup holder... and then I need to paint it the correct colour to match my scheme.. the Bronze is going out.. Claret is going in (a dark, almost burgandy red) once I get the car painted the Dolphin gray (an audi colour)

Hmm.

They also make one that isn't a drawer, but has slots for like 4 or 5 CD's, I LOVE that one, but can't seem to find it right now.

Those LED lightup ones are nice.

Good work, Mad. It'd be a nice little place to store some CD's or what have you
