The Bostons are only $10 more, but Ive heard the Pioneer Premier line is really good too.

I've never been an audiophile but I remember hearing nothing but good things about Boston Acoustics 7 years ago.
Different wattage, different response, one's 2-way the other 3-way... maybe someone can interpret these?

Boston. Their specs are usually accurate, Pioneer's (and Sony's) are usually a bit exaggerated. As far as the range, I doubt the Pioneer's go down to 31 Hz and human hearing only goes to 20kHz, so going to 29kHz is meaningless.
I don't know why but I've always liked Pioneer. I've had my eye on these for awhile.

Go to millionbuy.com and get some MB Quart 6x9's.
I just installed their Formula FTA169's in the Tib (along with some Onyx 6-1/2's and a Discus DSC450 amp, all MB Quart) and they're great.

From you choices, I've had good experience from Pioneer Premiere.
Oddly enough, one of the best speakers I've heard was a cheap set of 6.5's by Phase Linear! They are an offshoot of Jensen. On clearance for 19 bucks a pair at car toys a couple years ago. If I'da known how good they were going to sound, I would have bought all of them and replaced all my Audiobahns with them!!! LOL!
If I had MY choice, I've always loved the sound of Polk Audio. They make some really nice high quality speakers that wont break the bank.

I also have some Polk Audio speakers in the Accent, and am happy with them.
