Neons On Subs

Turns out my subs have neon rings around them I wanna hookup lol. There is a small metal pin thing for neon input on one side. Do i need to use a connector? How big a guage for wire? Anyone have experience with this?
It was those subs from my other post about 5-6 posts down from this. Pics are there. But not of the input.
