ok i have limited my choices down to 3

here they are.
1. Dual XDVD8181
2. Dual XDVD700
3.Jensen VM9312

I am leaning towards the first one.

the only reason im not leaning towards the jensen is because i dont really want to deal with the easter egg stuff. or ebrake.

so i just want to know which one of these 3 would you guys go with?

BTW the only thing i really need it for is to power my two 12's and the 3.5mm jack to plug in my Sirius satellite radio in to. and to watch a few movies

Go with the jensen. It has an actual breakout box. It also has touchscreen control of an ipod. Jensen looks to be better.

i do not own an ipod. so that doesnt really help me but thanks for your opinion

What is a Breakout Box?

 

Those are all generally the cheaper ones. Which is understandable with a budget. My brother has one of the duals and it has broken twice now. Got it replaced under warranty but without that it would have sucked.

And the ebrake stuff and all that can be bypassed.

 

I have the newer Jensen model and love it, it was a bit more expensive but no problems at all. And they have an easter egg for the Jesnen(bypass) for the ebrake

 

I'd do the Jensen, mainly because you can't turn down a touchscreen. I'm also more familiar with Jensen brand than Dual.

 

not sure, but i'd always stick with pioneer. if those are your three i would go touchscreen.i'm not aware of those brands though... so i'm not that helpful here.

 

Ive had experiance with both the Jensen and The Duals. The Jensen is a much nicer looking unit and more expandable feature wise, plus it plays DivX. What are the prices you are recieving on the Dual and the Jensen?

 

just wanted to point out that the Dual xDVD8181 is also a touchscreen.

also i read DTN's post about the easter egg thing but it didn't list my model. does it work on all jensens?

the prices for each of these are close to 300 shipped with everything needed to install. i dont think this jensen will play divx

 

JVC makes some nice ones, one is a dual din, touchscreen WITH Bluetooth support, for like $600.
