Need Help With Momo Pit Stop Hand Brake
Just purchased a Momo Steel Pit Stop Hand Brake, however it seems like I'm missing something. Can those of you who have installed one of these share some knowledge? What I received was just the handle, 6 longer hex screws, 3 shorter hex screws and the wrench...however looking at this thing and comparing it to the metal shaft of the ebrake with the OEM rubber handle removed, it looks like I'm missing something to make this Momo handle fit correctly. In fact it looks like the button end of the shaft will slide right through the hole at the end of the handle. What's the secret...can't believe this is that difficult, but I'm stumped.
Thanks in advance for the knowledge.

The button end hole of this Momo Pit Stop handle is rectangular and measures approx. 3/4" x 7/8". The last time I removed the OEM rubber handle to install a cheaper universal handle, I don't recall the brake shaft being anywhere near those dimensions...I believe its a heck of a lot narrower. I'm assuming this Momo handle is not going to fit snuggly or firmly around this metal shaft. It appears many have installed one of the version of the Momo Pit Stop handle...is this assessment correct regarding the fit? How was it addressed?
there should be a rubber "adaptor" that goes in the very end of the pitstop handle.. your original handle (the metal part) should slide through it securely. If I still had my tib (with the handle on it) I would take it apart to take pictures so you could see
Mad Machine is right, there's a little rubber ring that slides in between the shaft and the handle. Its a seperate piece that you have to buy, but its only like $6. I went to my local speed shop and ordered one, I think it was actually listed for a civic, but it fits fine. I also used a black zip tie at the bottom to fully secure it.
You can kinda see it here, its black, inside the chrome...anyway once you get the thing on, you'll love it. I love mine.
