Need Help Like Right Now! Random or Interior Painter!
So, when painting my interior, ive done everything correctly, and everything has come out good, so far. I went to put on a coat of Clear Coat today, and when it went on, it started to like, Vein up, and look like its got cracks everywhere in it. Sorta like a Spider Web effect. Help! Why did it do that? What can I do to fix it! Thanks

Either the clear coat is not compatable with the paint you used...or you didn't shake the can of clear coat enough.
Spray paint has paint thinner in it to get it out of the can. The paint and the thinner seperate when it sits. And usually the first 5 seconds of Spray is pure thinner.
Make sure your Clear coat is compatable with the paint you used...and make sure you shake up the can....and start it away from your work piece for 5 seconds...then spray your part to be clear coated.
And always...always...always....use a test piece for ALL primers...paint and clear coats, and the combination thereof...

What type of paint did you use? I know someone that used 500 degree paint on their interior in their car and it looks awesome! The only thing is that if you let the paint dry for longer than an hour before putting on a clear coat or any other coat it will spider web. In order to put a new coat on after one hour you have to wait five days or hurry and put all the coats on within one hour of each other!
Thanks, I dont know what the dealy is...
Its the same brand clear coat as of the paint, so I assume they are compatible with eachother. Maybe i'll just spray the can some out of the way of something and see what goes on... Otherwise I dunno...
I sanded down the Spiderweb Effect, so its unnoticeable anymore, but it still makes me mad.

If you put the clearcoat on thick, the thinners in the clearcoat are thinning/eating the paint below it.
Always use thin coats, and apply 3 or 4 rather than 1 or 2 thick coats. (paint or clearcoat).
