Default Need help...how do I install this?

Im thinking about buying this 7" tablet and installing it as a head unit

The Sylvania 7" Tablet will allow you to surf the net anywhere and anytime. Compact and ultra light with a touch screen puts all your web browsing at your fingertips. With Android 2.2 you will have access to thousands of apps to make your tablet your own.

* Touch Screen

* Wireless Web Browsing

* 6 Hour Battery

* 7" High Res Screen (800 x 480 pixels)

* Ultra Light

* 256MB RAM

* 2GB Flash Memory

* Micro SD Card(Up to 16GB)

* Wifi Rieee 802.11 b/g

* 2 Mini USB Slots

* HDMI output

* Android 2.2

So I think the hardest part would be building some kind of cradle or mount so that it stays put in the dash, and can be taken out & put back in easily. Suppose I'm able to do that. How would I connect it to my amps so I get sound? Is there some kind of cable that I can connect HDMI to RCA so it can plug into the amps?

Why convert the HDMI for audio? That'll set you back a pair of Hamiltons or better where there are 850,000 devices that swap the standard 2.5mm headphone jack to a pair of RCAs for uber cheap.

IIRC the 2001 Accent was a single din so what I would do is fab up a mount that slides away into the stock radio slot when not in use. Function, form is overrated

I would also convert from the headphone jack. I have done that before with satisfactory results.

I am considering replacing my gauge cluster with a tablet connected to the OBDII port through bluetooth. Seriously considering it.

There are HDMI to RCA adapters, but the headphone jack is cheaper.
