Oh well my speedo has been acting up since.......it starts jumping up but not all the time. Im guessing thats the problem or something else I read about on here. Like the plug on the top of the tranny I think it was.

You don't have to take off the stock gauges....Would it help? Yes, but it's not manditory.....I even think in the AOS instructions, it tells you to lay them overtop of the stock gauges. The holes in the center of the AOS gauges are cut slightly larger to allow you to just slip them over top of the needles and lay on the stock gauges. Do correct me if I'm wrong. I did this with mine and everything has been working for 3 years now.

LOL Might wanna look at the instructions again. For the AOS, TAKE OFF THE STOCK GAUGES> You can pin the new gauges down and it's nowhere near as thick. You just need some "taillight repair tape" in 2 colors to put on the back of the idiot light indicators so you don't get blinded.

Trust me. Take them off.

if possible, and you don't plan on reverting ever, you can do it with all gauges..... Even EL gauges. You can cut out the blinkers portion from the speedo and tape them to the EL gauges and the indicators on the other gauges too. this way they don't obstruct the needle and they still show the proper indications when nescessary.

No need with the AOS guages, they have the idiot lights there, even the correct shapes and such, there is just no color on them. Go to autozone, get a pack of Taillight Repair Tape, you get yellow and 2 different RED colors for like 3 bucks. Put 2 layers of whatever color you want for each light.

I was wondering about that beacuse the CEL indicator for the stock ones are differnet then the AOS which causes it to look weird. I will go to autozone and get some of that tape and hopefully my speedo problem will be fixed.

How do you get the little needle stopper things off so you can remove the stock faces? I seem to be having some trouble. Do you just have to pull really hard?
