Just installed my AOS guages. Everything went fine however when i drove away i noticed my RPM needle was not moving and my speedo is chopy. I took the cluster back out and removed the "ring bezzles" that surround the 3 sections. It appeared that due to the extra thickness of the gauges when the cover was put on the gauges "bowed" and this made the needles stick. The RPM needle atleast moves now but is "chopy" and there is no change in the speedo.

Can the needles be pulled out like maybe 1/16 of an inch to clear the gauge face? I dont want to snap them off and have nothing!

P.s.- these gauges look hella sweet! burnout.gif

Try sliding gently a dinner fork behind the needle and prying it up a little. You may have pushed the needles on too far during the install.

Have fun removing the dash again. owned.gif LOL

I hope this isn't operator error. LOL....I've heard of the dinner fork method before. It's seemed to work for people. I'd give that a try...Maybe we should have put them inside a book and kept a little weight on them. That might have straightened them out a little. wink1.gif

ya take off the stock faces. if your rpm isnt moving thats not good. when i did mine i broke the rod that turns the need on my temp gauge and had to replace. you cant bend the needles too much

you dont have to take off the stock faces. in fact with some guages you need them on. just need to have the needle slightly farther out.
