solo, what do you mean? when it comes to head units, i would like to think that alpine is up top. personally, i'd go kenwood or pioneer. but alpine makes a great product. for speakers, i'm a diehard infinity fan. although the Type R is a great speaker, i'd still buy infinity over alpine.....
i just don't think you should knock a guy for buying alpine, since their name is so respected in car audio....at least he didn't buy Sony Xplod!!!!!

 

well for one i'm not drunk. for 2 alpine is only worth a damn in the a/v field now. clarion and eclipse still kick their ass. alpine subs leave a ton of room for improvement. oh what else mtx? can you get any worse? infinity still sucks ass in my opinion. you want some subs? get L7's you want a processor? get the rf epx you want some good speakers? i could make one hell of a list there besides alpine or infinity. the point is he don't need to try to "bust" on someone elses shit!

alpine type R subs are tight....i got a deal on the Pioneer head unit and i really love it...so i found a deal on the Pioneer Speakers and got those too, welll for christmas i got those (thanks to my dad).

I think alpine has good quality car audio, but yes eclipse is still better, a lot depends on preference, i know a lot of people who think Sony Xplod is good stuff, but all ihear is people having problems with them, and i just don't like the 'different' style of them.

 

why is solo baric talkin so much **** when all he has to speak of is a damn subwoofer that looks like a cardboard box. i like the solos man... but i go for quality, not quantity. and tibnrice... i like pioneer's top line stuff... its good quality and sounds great, i have a friend with the same head as yours... very nice. as for solo... give it up man... you have a thumpin system.. some ppl like the quality of their music... not how bad they can make their trunk rattle.

 

very nice you of you to point out that i love bass! no this where it gets really good! you have never heard my car. you don't know how bad or good it sounds. i can promise you that when i turn the subs off it will still have more bass and better sound quality then your car! wanna place a bet on it? why because i know what i got! i know how good my shit sounds! and yet the trunk rattles a bit but i can fix that when i have time. i don't care what you say about pioneer the ONLY good thing they have now is their a/v headunits. they are getting to be to much like sony.

 

solo-baric...happy to hear u get your shit bumpin, i'm not gonna hate, i like base, but fix everything that rattles so it doesn't sound like your car's gonna fall apart...i didn't go for subs for space and wieght factor. .....As for pioneer i still think they have high quality car audio and have not been dissapointed with any of my products...i've never messed with their lower end products, but the high end is good quality...and my head unit is amazing...good power, good features and simple (what i like the most)
