Well I redid my SAFC mount in the tibby last week, we took a piece of ABS plastic, heated it up and formed it to the same curve as my dash, then I flush mounted it so it hides the wire better. Finally the angle is perfect so I don't get any glare from the sun.

And for those of you who want to see what my sirius antenna looks like:

Now keep in mind this antenna is very old, the new ones don't have the tail on them and are about half the size.

AW a stuffed puppy how cute tongue.gif . Looks good, like what you did with the Sirius antenna. Do you have any recepton problems with it there? BTW about 90% of the new antennas still come with the tail. Just bought a new Clarion antenna and it came with one.

Thanks man, nope, never had a problem with reception, as long as it has a clear view of the sky thats not blocked by metal. Haven't seen the clarion antenna yet, but the audiovox, dei, and alpine antennas either don't have the tail or you can remove them, and most of the xm ones don't have it either.

I'd like to see a pick of that at night with everything turned on. Is it bright as hell in your cabin?

It's nice, but I like the fact that I can hide mine in the ashtray when I don't want to see it or when I'm not in the car.

agarwall, your's doesnt rotate out with the ashtray does it?

im thinking that he has it mounted so that the ashtray things rotates closed and open independent of the SAFC. that would be a good idea. like, cut off all the stuff underneath the ashtray, besides the parts that are used when closing and opening it, and then just mounting the SAFC so that it is looking right up at you when you open the ashtray.
