Default My new Radio

I just got a Sony CDX-M630 put in last night. Its got the flip down face and the active black front display. I almost crapped my pants the first time i heard it. =) Got a great deal on it also.
I'll try to get some pics taken soon. BTW, Random, what e-mail address should i send pics to for posting?

Sorry for the quick note, but no one here @ the office understands my pride, and just needed to vent a lil bit of happiness =).

Chris

I have a deck similar to that one right now and I love it. Half the time I leave my faceplate on because unless you know it's there it's impossible to see through my tinted windows.

Have you read any on the Sony CDX-MP70?? That's the deck I am getting next week. Can you imagine that hooked up to my Sony 10 disc MP3 changer? Almost 8 gigs of music on CD-RW discs!!

I looked @ the mp70, but it was a bit too rich for my blood. Also I got an insane deal on the HU. It was on the wall for $350, and I got it for $215 installed Only problem I have is, the install kit the shop had for the tibby, it dosen't fit quite right, BUT, the shop said that when they go to their "new" kit dealer, they'll remove the radio and re-install it w/ the better fitting kit @ no cost =). Truth be told, the kit that is in there is fine by me LOL. I'm also looking to ad a sony changer by the end of summer, but that may have to wait.

Trypgod,

The CDX-MP70 is only like $250 bucks everywhere online. In the stores I see it going for $350 or more!! Sony makes the CDX-757MX, which is what I have currently. It plays CD-R, CD-RW, MP3 as well as regular CDs. It can also read ID3 Tag info. I have this thing about 8 inches from my Alpine sub and it has yet to skip. I got mine for $160 from etronics.com

Well, I did fall in lust with the active black face on my choice. The only other problem I would have with getting equipment online, is I COULD install it, but it would be a crap install, and most install shops around here, won't install off-the street parts, and the ones that DO, charge an arm and a leg, and sometimes your first born to work with customer-provided stuff. And seeing as how I'm currently working 70-90 hours a week, I don't have time to sleep much less install stereo stuff smile.gif . I'm happy just getting rid of the stock radio. And as far as mp3's are concerned, I don't need my radio to play them. I have a different solution for my mp3 needs. ::evil grin::
