QUOTE (nexuz)
growing hair??

I actually have hair, always have. LOL That picture of me bald is something I do every Halloween.

As for your other statements, it did feel good.

For me.

My first part of my project will be finished tonight, and I'll show the world...

Man, it looks soo good, I can't wait to finish the rest.

I'm gonna go take pics now.

*EDIT*

That's right, I'm painting my dash. So far the parts you see are fully finished.

I used the Duplicolor Metalcast Blue and Groundcoat. 4 coats of the Groundcoat (Silver), and 4 coats of the Blue. 4 more coats of Groundcoat on the Ashtray COVER (I didn't know that thing came off until now!), and the Cup Holder. Roughed all the plastic up a bit first with one of those yellow sponges with the Greenpad on the other side. Stuff is almost completely hard, it can take a day or so. The shifter surround ring is going to be silver. The whole dash and door panels will be done. It looks even better in person of course, but these pics still look good. All of the switch plates and door handles will be done in silver, all of the speaker covers will be done in the blue.

Tell a brotha what you think. Guys, if you do it, just take your time, do it OUT of the wind, and let it dry in a lint free place.

BOO URNS!!! It's been done! tongue.gif wink.gif
BWHAHAHAHA

Just kidding dude!
Good work.
BTW, did you use a heat gun? Saves ALOT of drying time. Will also prevent any airborne lint / dust that will stick more, since it's drying way faster.

what kind of a clear coat would work best on it? I painted my wire cover with that same stuff, and very good results
(I actually did it, before comming here.. so I just taped the (H) and DOHC, instead of rmoving them.. but what clear coat you think work best..

Now, REDZ.. did you sand in between coats? I did 2 layers of primer sanding inbetween .. then 3 coats of silver with a 240 sandpaper.. and 4 coats of blue..
planning on sanding with a higher grade of paper befoe clear coating
