Right now my amps are in my spare tire enclosure and I want to move things around. I want to mount the each amp to the back of both back seats. Do I need to attach a piece of wood to the seats first before mounting the amps or can I mount them to the seats without any wood? I havent gotten back there yet to check it out but just wanted the info before I start taking things apart this weekend.

 

Not sure about the gk's but the rd's have a metal frame that some decent length self tapping screws(about an inch and a half) should hold. I have my amp on the left side and a cap mounted on the right with the wires tucked into the cover material.
